Google Chrome users, the time to act is now. There’s a new Chrome update available for desktop and mobile devices, and it’s a huge step toward better security for you and your Google browser. The highly popular Chrome browser is used the world over with an incredible 92% share of the market worldwide. It has 6.9 billion searches daily and a remarkable 2.5 trillion searches per year globally, making Google.com the most highly visited website on the planet. In the U.S. alone, the browser holds almost 80% of all search traffic. With numbers like that, countless Chrome users will appreciate the many new features that put their personal online security up front where it belongs – so don’t let this update wait another minute.
WOW! New Security Features
Android or Apple, a recent update takes on security in a highly proactive way with new and improved security features. One such improvement is Password Checkup, and it’s for those who save passwords in their browser. Chrome checks your login credentials to see if they’ve been compromised in a data breach or leak, and it lets you know. Another feature enables Face ID, Touch ID, and phone passcode to authenticate a user’s identity, and they’re also available to be work with password Autofill options.
As great as these new security features are, that’s not all. Enhanced Safe Browsing finds uncommon URLs and shares them with Google. This new feature helps users avoid phishing, malware, and questionable websites in real time with a hard-to-miss screen warning. Previously, problematic domains had to be already known to Google to trigger a browser security warning. In addition, the Safety Check feature allows users to scan Chrome to check if the browser is up-to-date. It tells you if Safe Browsing is enabled and if any passwords have been compromised in a known breach.
It’s Go Time for this Update!
You don’t have to be a tech pro to install the Chrome updates. All you need is your device, a couple of minutes and the desire to have your security bolstered by a browser update with innovative measures that put your online safety first. Just follow these simple steps.
